World Series Logo
The 27th annual World Series of Birding, North America’s premier conservation event, was held Saturday, May 15, 2010.  This event has changed the birding landscape and raised over $9,000,000 for bird conservation throughout the world.  Join forces and form a team, pledge a team, or sponsor a team.  Every species found, every dollar raised preserves and protects critical species habitat.

The NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife’s Endangered and Nongame Species Program is asking for your help. As a WSBer, you will spend the coming days scouting the state for as many species as possible, diligently noting their locations, behaviors and use of habitat. That information will pay off in spades on the Big Day, when you will rack up scores of species and raise thousands of dollars for conservation causes.  But there is even more you can do with this information. Consider stretching your conservation “currency” just a bit further and submit your sightings of rare species to the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife. This information will help state biologists identify critical areas for species of conservation concern so that they may be protected to the highest degree. Of particular interest are breeding sightings of the species listed, especially if they occur in areas that aren’t likely to be visited often by birders or scientists. You can download the sighting reportThank you so much for helping NJ Fish & Wildlife with this information!

Make a World Series of Birding Pledge for NJ Audubon!

Hundreds of birders from around the globe will scour our state, from High Point to Cape May Point and everywhere in between, in search of as many bird species as they can find, in order to raise as much money as possible for wildlife conservation.  With the help of people like you, who pledge to New Jersey Audubon, every bird counted means more dollars for New Jersey Audubon's conservation, research and environmental education initiatives.  To find out how you can pledge our efforts, click here

Items marked with PDF Format require Adobe Reader, which is a free download.
