Programs and Events Cape May Bird Observatory

No preregistration required; meet leaders at the time and place listed in the trip description.

CMBO's weekly walks, led by our expert staff and associate naturalists, target the best locations for each season.  Birding-focused, but all facets of nature are included.  Something’s happening almost every day of the year!  Field trips are great for any skill level from adults to children with an interest in the natural world.  Cost is just $10 per person, discounted to $6 per person for NJAS/CMBO members.  

Geared for the beginner to the seasoned naturalist, CMBO's special programs and field trips focus on species identification, migration, trips outside of the Cape May area, and more.  These events require pre-registration; space is limited. Boat Trips

Enjoy a relaxing boat trip with a natural twist!  CMBO offers several                                                                  bird and nature cruises throughout the year from the Cape May and Somers Point area including sunset tours of the rich islands, marshes, and waterways.  Pre-registration is required and space   is limited.  See monthly schedule of events for details and more information. A limited supply of loaner binoculars are available  on the boat trips. 

Fees for most programs are discounted if you are a CMBO or NJAS Member.
